Busy weekend

Its been a fairly busy weekend in SophosLabs. In particular the greeting card campaign is a perfect example why spam, web and malware analysis has to be so integrated. There is a growing trend towards this sort of campaign. A website is setup to host the malware, then a spam campaign sent out to lure people to the site and subsequent infection.

I’ve had a few suggestions on how I should respond to the lovely Tatyana and there seems to be several ideas on what the ultimate sting will be. Favourite at the moment is still the cost of the air fare, but some form of ‘investment’ opportunity is running a close second.
