Sophos named "Company of the year" at CBI Growing Business Awards
Sophos, a world leader in protecting businesses against viruses and spam, was named "Company of the Year" at the 2003 Real Business/CBI Growing Business Awards at the London Hilton on 4 December 2003. Chosen because of its business performance, ambition, potential and management quality, Sophos fought off strong competition from the other four finalists to take the award.
Sophos was congratulated for increasing its turnover from £31.6 million in 2002 to £41 million in 2003 - a 30 per cent increase. The judges described Sophos as "a global British success story".
"We are delighted to have received this prestigious award, which recognises the hard work done by all Sophos staff around the world to provide customers with the highest levels of service," said Jan Hruska, co-founder and joint CEO of Sophos. "Sophos has achieved consistent growth over the last year, and for the third consecutive year we have outperformed the anti-virus market as a whole."
Sophos is no stranger to the awards, having previously won the title of Company of the Year in 2001.
