Anti-Virus Checkmark level 2 certification Sophos, a world leader in protecting businesses against viruses and spam, announced today that West Coast Labs has awarded Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows NT Server its Anti-Virus Checkmark level 2 certification for detecting and disinfecting all known in-the-wild viruses.

Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows NT Server was tested against all known in-the-wild viruses and disinfected them all with ease. This provides further confirmation of Sophos's ability to protect corporations from the viruses, worms and Trojans that threaten their systems.

"Sophos has gained a powerful reputation for the strength of its anti-virus solutions for business," said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at Sophos. "This certification by the independent experts at West Coast Labs confirms the high quality of Sophos's products."

The Checkmark system has been developed by West Coast Labs, an independent research and test centre. It provides a reliable means of authenticating those products which users can consistently rely upon to provide the highest quality anti-virus solutions.
